Kristen Stewart confirms Snow White and the Huntsman sequel sans Rupert Sanders (videos, photos)

On Dec. 20, 2012, Indiewire confirmed with Kristen Stewart that she has been slated to star in the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. The news follows rumors that due to her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in June 2012, she wouldn’t be offered a role in the film. Apparently, the rumors were false and Stewart will appear in the movie, however Rupert Sanders has not been asked to direct the film.

Speaking to Indiewire, Stewart described her excitement about the role and talked changes to her character. She stated, “Oh, it’s gonna be f@#$%$ amazing. No, I’m so excited about it, it’s crazy.” Stewart also said she wasn’t at liberty to go into full details about the film or her role.

The news of the sequel comes as reassurance for Stewart who spoke about needing a job following the premiere of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2. Stewart has also confirmed she will star in the new Warner Brothers film Focus.

Argo star Ben Affleck was slated to appear alongside Stewart in Focus but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Kristen Stewart is still scheduled to star in the film, meanwhile Warner Brothers is searching for a new male lead.

At this point, there is no date when either Focus or Snow White and the Huntsman sequel will begin filming.
